Spreading the love…one free cup of coffee at a time.

Spreading the love…one free cup of coffee at a time.

For a while now, BOQ has been secretly giving strangers free coffee. Cafe’s right around Australia have been approached by BOQ branches participating in these clandestine ‘coffee shouts’ who ask just one surprising question – may we shout your customers their morning brew?

It’s no surprise we’ve identified caffeine as the key to your heart. If you’re anything like us, the day doesn’t start until you’ve properly woken up over a cup of coffee.

It’s estimated that 54% of Australians over the age of 18 consume at least one cup of coffee every day.

The average coffee consumption by Australian adults is a whopping 9.2 cups per week!

We’re on a mission to prove it’s possible to love a bank. So what more appropriate way is there to share the love than through a piping hot cup of your caffeinated beverage of choice?

Our branches have shouted strangers a free cup of coffee at over 50 different coffee shops this year. Since we’ve loved watching your reactions online and via social media (we mean that in the least creepiest way possible), we thought we’d share some highlights!

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); = id; js.src = “//”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

Free coffees are still on for a short time!! Come down and get your free coffee before it ends!!! Thanks to Emma & raj at the BOQ 🙂 xx

Hi, just wanted to let you know I walked into my local coffee shop last week to buy usual flat white and was greeted by your staff from the Beenleigh branch who were buying coffees for everyone who came in. A simple idea and gesture but made a great impression on us. Well done BOQ Beenleigh.

Private Facebook message to BOQ.
